Making Waves on Main Street

This year’s conference theme is Making Waves on Main Street | Big Bold Ideas That Push the Boundaries. In communities across Pennsylvania, Main Street is more than a road, it’s a heartbeat. When “Making Waves on Main Street,” we’re embracing bold, boundary-pushing ideas that spark transformation, ignite energy, and celebrate the spirit of innovation in downtowns and surrounding communities. This revitalization movement is about reimagining what’s possible when creativity meets collaboration among the stakeholders that drive big ideas when others want to play it safe. Together, we’re not just revitalizing—we’re revolutionizing. These are Main and Elm Streets like you’ve never seen before: bold, inclusive, and unapologetically visionary.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

It is time for Pennsylvania’s biggest network-building and professional development opportunity of the year. You’ve registered, you booked your hotel room, what’s next? If you are a first timer or a seasoned PDC Conference goer, you still may have a few questions. Here are a few tips:

Conference Tips:

  • There is some road construction in front of the Bayfront Convention Center and the Sheraton Hotel. Navigating through the construction shouldn’t pose a problem as everything is well marked.
  • Conference check-in will take place at Bayfront Convention Center. Hours are Sunday from 11 AM-5 PM, Monday and Tuesday from 7 AM-4 PM, and Wednesday from 7-10 AM.
  • Everyone will receive a nametag at check-in. The back of the nametag will list evening events and mobile tours you have signed up for as well as your meal choices. Event and meal tickets are also included in the back of your nametag.
  • Please be sure to have your meal tickets so the servers know which meal you selected.
  • Classroom sessions are open to all attendees. Take a look at the program or your conference app and select the session that most suits your interests and community needs.
  • All mobile tours will leave from the entrance of the convention center.
  • For Monday’s Street Party and Lunch on Your Own on Tuesday, the Erie Trolley will pick up and drop off in regular intervals between the convention center and downtown Erie.
  • Download this year’s conference app from Let’s Rallie to access everything you need to connect, engage, and explore—right at your fingertips.
  • If you will be arriving in Erie early, or staying a few days after the conference, check out this HANDY EVENT GUIDE provided by the Downtown Erie Partnership.

VENDOR MARKETPLACE

This year’s Vendor Marketplace is filled with new businesses as well as a few of the same favorites you have seen in past years. They offer a variety of services and products that are beneficial to your communities. While talking to the vendors, be sure to scan the Let’s Rallie QR code at each table to have a chance to win some fun prizes. The more you scan, the better your chances.

Two downtown Erie businesses will offer micro-experiences. Warner Books will have a book nook where you can sit, relax and shop for books. Monacella Massage and Kinesiology will be offering chair massages on Monday and Tuesday afternoon for $5.
